Bullitt
Has anyone tried to mix model glue with paint in order to get a colored glue that wouldn't stand out so much when gluing pieces together?
CFMgarage
Where exactly on a model do you have issues with glue standing out? You're only supposed to use a wee little tad bit of glue so it doesn't stand out at all. There are also different glues for different pieces/materials... StevenGuthmiller
If done correctly, there should never be any place on a finished model where the glue should be visible. Steve
RAT-T
I'M NOT SURE ABOUT THE REGULAR MODEL GLUE, BUT I LOOKED INTO HOW TO ADD COLOR TO CA GLUE SO IT WOULD BE EASIER TO SEE WITH MY POOR VISION. BUT I DIDN'T HAVE MUCH LUCK.I DID FIND SOME PURPLE TINTED CA GLUE FOR USE IN AQUARIUMS, BUT WHEN YOU USE JUST A LITTLE BIT ON A TOOTH PIC, IT DOESN'T SHOW UP THAT WELL

SteveSteve is right but if you can see the glue you may be using too much...
MrBuick
Are you using Testors tube glue? If so, that may be part of the problem because if you're applying it directly from the tube it's harder to control and easy to use too much. Try squeezing some onto a scrap piece of cardboard and applying it to the model with a toothpick, or get some different, liquid glue. Testors makes some that comes in a triangle bottle with a precision applicator that's easy to use and Tamiya makes a nice liquid that comes in a little bottle that you can apply with a toothpick. If you're already using one of those, just practice applying a very small amount...a little goes a very long way. When I got into the hobby about 2 and a half years ago, I bought a 1oz tube of Testors Liquid Cement. I've built quite a few models with it, and it's just now getting a little low, but there's probably still enough for a few more models.
