WANTED: Modelhaus medium-duty truck tires / wheels X3

Recommended Posts

Just like it says...I need 2 or 3 sets, as shown below. I put off ordering from Modelhaus too long.  :(

I'm in the same boat as you.  Waited too long.  Hopefully they'll reopen their site again soon.

The quality of the product from Scenes Unlimited is similar to that of The Modelhaus and as Towman stated, Danny ships FAST!

These look like a suitable replacement until/if The Modelhaus starts taking orders again.

Not according to the Modelhaus website:

The Modelhaus Website is closed.

  • The web site is closed and we will not be accepting more orders, not even orders in the regular mail.

Strange.  They were open, I placed an order, & they took my money (ok, only $1; but still).

Check out Scenes Unlimited, he has a set of 5 hole 17" wheels on his website. You will not be disappointed with his stuff.

Thank you. I've seen those and I understand the quality is excellent. It sure looks it on the website. If I'm ever going to finish those two trucks, I guess that's what I'll have to do. I just remember seeing the Modelhaus parts at a show here several years back and thinking "holy cow those things are PERFECT"...but like a damm fool I didn't buy them. I think they were out of stock by the time I went back to the booth... and then I put off ordering too long.

I guess in the back of my mind, I expected such a mainstay of the hobby like Modelhaus to be there forever. Stupid me.

I feel your pain Bill. I placed an order last week when the word got out they were shutting down the website for good and I pulled the trigger on one of their 60's Dodge pickups and that Shasta Camper. With my luck by the time my order is ready and shipped someone will have tooled up a model kit for a third of the price of the Modelhaus piece.

Hopefully someone picks up where Don and Carol leave off, even if it is just some of the wheels/tires/bumpers and grilles.

I have a set of the Modelhaus wheels and tires, but really not wanting to get rid of them...but...

I'm torn. I've had them for ýears with the intention of using on a build and I'm sure as soon as I let them go I know I'll regret it.

Just a possibility of some tires I used on a van that were from Ma's Resin. They were listed as "a 1 Ton truck tire" and  "a 50's style 1 Ton truck tire".  I know Ma's Resin has been behind and was months to order but they are both nice truck tires. I'm pretty sure I used "a 1 Ton truck tire" on the van  .. a few photos of them below.

This may be a long shot but just giving options. Good luck.
