iBorg
I have a Sherline so I do have the equipment. I wasn't sure about if it was done cnc or not. I'm guessing you drew it out and simply set the start and end points and made the cut. I've made a few brass chassis before and getting the sides even is nearly impossible. That's a project I need to try. Final question and/or, I'm guessing Harrisburg, PA. I hope you'll post shows you're exhibiting at.
bobthehobbyguy
Great idea for using a jig to get the chassis sides to match. Looking forward to seeing the final pictures of the bantam. Am interested to see what you do with the Maverick pro stock. I know it will be nice.
Codi
Hey Mike, yup, Penna. I've not exhibited at a show since I was 15 or so. I've attended NNL East and was really impressed. No plans at this time but NNL East in the Spring would be the one and only I'd probably attend to exhibit at. Appreciate your asking. Bob, I was hoping to have some pics done by this weekend but I messed up my back a bit and have not bothered to sit at the bench this past week. Feeling a bit better and hope to get something posted before the very final glamour pics. Re: the Maverick, I'm pretty excited about what I have in mind for it. Once I get the Bantam pics up I'll post a new thread on the car and what I have in mind. I'm pretty sure you'll like it. AceGarageGuy (Bill) was kind enough to share some insights on a few things and I've checked AFX's (JC) threads as well. Of course, Comp1839 (Dave) has been helpful too in answering some of my questions before I ever get started. They know a lot about these kits and cars. Most helpful as I'm into the planning/research phase of the car. Thanks as well for your interest! cheers, tim
Codi
Some "almost" finished pics. I'll have some more in the near future with some underneath shots of the body with the tins & brackets installed along with the body jig & some other stuff I made for it. It's pretty much done now. All the tedious and nerve wracking assembly bits are done!!! Yeah!!! Interestingly on the drivers side when I looked at the pics it appears that there was a paint chip or flaw........I thought "oh no" and went and looked at the car to see if I had messed it up somehow.........ahhh, not the case thankfully. I don't know what it is in the pic or why but it's all good. Anyways........Cheers, Tim

Scott Colmer
What an incredible piece of work through and through. I've followed this thread from the beginning. It is so cool to see this one in finished form. Well done!
89AKurt
Which is the driver's side? ⬅️➡️⬆️ That is a museum work of art, a league of it's own.
gasser59
I still can't believe this build. They say pictures don't lie and they also say a picture is worth a thousand words. I've also watched this build from day one and and am completely mesmerized by each detailed photo and well-written description. You, my friend, are so very talented with tactical skills, vision, patience and endurance. Does this amazing creation have a name? Are you planning on decals or at least a class and number? I know someone who could help you out.

Jerdatty
So I got to thinkin'. Dave (comp1839) took you for a ride in his 1:1 car. It's only fair that you return the favor sometime. Maybe instead of moving on to another 1:24 scale model, you use your insane skills and do this exact build in 1:1? Not like you wouldn't know what you're doing. Could probably auction off this model to fund the project lol. All kidding aside, I am so happy to see this almost complete, but part of me is gonna miss the anticipation of "Codi added a new post". Codi
Ta-Da. I remember the day I dropped the Henry chassis and started the Bantam a few weeks later. I thank each of you that have followed along from beginning to end. Your comments and encouragement mean/meant a lot the whole way. I've also made some great new friends and learned OH SO MUCH.................So again, my sincerest appreciation. These pics matter even though they're of poor quality. She sits on all 4 and I took the jig apart after 3+ years. I promise better quality pics very soon. Cheers to each and everyone of you! Codi
Hi guys....today was a sunny day and I took advantage to shoot the car in natural light. I don't know if I'll be able to post them all at once, but if not I'll post the others later. Still have to shoot a few "detail" pics before I put this one on the shelf! Cheers, Tim

Straightliner59
Looks fantastic, Tim! You just reminded me that i need to get my junior fueler outside to take photos. Of course, that will just highlight its flaws! I see none, on this thing! Fabulous work!
