CarLover
Hey guys, I'm just started to build 2 shelby cobra 427, 1/16(mpc) and 1/24 (fujimi) For now, i painted the body, gravity colors guardsman blue for the 1/16 and tamiya ts19 metallic blue for the 1/24, later i will paint white stripes on both of them. One question, why to the 1/16 doesn't have the lower air intake? (the small one) (i don't know english very well, so I'll mostly post some photos Without many words, so enjoy. but feel free to give advices) Edited June 16, 2016 by CarLover
styromaniac
Looks like a good start. Always loved the Cobras. Don't know why the big one does not have the opening the little one has.

CarLover
Ok, i had done some progress on the chassis, in th 1/16 i lost some part, so i scratch build it like this: This is the opposite side, And the scratch build : After that i made new suspension arms for both of them, blue onrs for the 1/16 ad white for the 1/24 And in the chassis, including the differential : I also finished the 1/24 engine (i will add some more detail later) : the 1/16 had some issues with the fitting and i need to repaint it(i tried with blue, didn't like it)

CarLover
I start thinking on the interior color, is should be kind of black, not completely black (like x1, x18) i thought about tamiya xf85 rubber black, or mr color tire black. what do you guys think? Any other suggestions? What is the best color/method for simulate black leather on the seats? I have access to Vallejo, tamiya and mr color

It would be like x18, no? (semi gloss black) what for the main color interior?
Dann Tier
This for the seats? It would be like x18, no? (semi gloss black) what for the main color interior? That should still work for a well kept leather look. but for some reason, I find that putting a semi gloss clear coat over flat black IS different, and that's how I prefer to do it. Check out some of my builds on my page to see if that's the black leather look you want
bobthehobbyguy
Nice start. To answer the question not all of the 427 Cobra had the scoop. I was doing some rearch and found cobra csx3102 did not have the scoop. My guess is the car that MPC used to measure was one of those cars.
