Rat Rod '32 Ford 3-Window Coupe

This is a build that almost never was.  It started as an eBay purchase gone wrong - a glue bomb that was advertised as "complete" & "some minor, partial assembly".  I was going to throw out the model when I decided to attempt my first "Chop".  This is the result

-chopped top (obviously)

-stretched hood to accommodate the rake of the grill

-scratch built vent on the cowl

-grafted the trunk from the Revell 5-window kit (No - its not a direct fit!!)

-resin wheels+tires

-everything else was sourced from my "parts box"

Finish is flat black, over red oxide primer, over matt aluminum BMF

Steve, I gotta tell you that I really like this a lot. If you know my work, you know this is my style. The only thing that throws me is the headers glued to the hood sides.

Thanks for the feedback!

Believe it or not, the hearders are actually glued to the engine, but the blue bomb engine is not worth exposing!  The Sprint Car headers was all I had available at the time.  But yes, I do agree that they look a little out of place.

Will certainly incorporate some lessons learned from this one on my next Rat Rod build.  But hey, I tried something new.  It doesn't always work out as planned

They look fine when I uploaded them on the PC.

I see what you mean when I view this site on my iPhone.

I'm sure that someone with "IT" background can explain.

Never fails, whenever I post pics of my builds, someone has to criticize the photography:rolleyes:

Didn't know that photography was a prerequisite of model building lol
