Perspective Customs
Can anyone tell me what car these caps are from? I wanted '57 Olds Fiesta caps but can't find any & these seem to be close. Thanks Edited June 26, 2016 by Perspective Customs
Don Sikora II
They are custom pieces from the original issue AMT '49 Ford. Not sure how many issues of the kit they were in, but they were replaced by 5-spoke mags that have been in the kit since at least the Street Rods issue from the early-to-mid 1970s. thatz4u
I agree, they are from the original issue AMT 49 Ford kit, would love to have several sets of these...
Perspective Customs
Thanks guys. I was able to get them on ebay last night at a reasonable price. Maybe I can find someone to cast them when they arrive or try my hand at resin casting.Would you know if there any Olds Fiesta caps out there? Other versions of that kit may have them also, probably other kits as well, but that one I can definitely confirm.

thatz4u
Monogram had a set in a T-bird kit, I think they were 1/24th...

They are '56 Olds wheel covers. The odd thing is the 59 Ford had 14" wheels and the 56 Olds had 15" wheels...not quite sure how well that would work in real life. These hub caps were stolen more often then than "mag" wheels are today.
ChrisBcritter
Just to clarify, the ones you bought that come from the '49 Ford kit are supposed to be 1961 Dodge deluxe wheelcovers. The Jo-Han '61 Dodge had them too, but the AMT ones are more accurately shaped.
