Chariots of Fire
That's one of the second generation ones. It's a good casting but is quite brittle. Don't drop it! This was built using one of those castings. The 97 just above the pump panel tells you the year I built it. If you are thinking about casting the Eisenbrenner Seagrave you should know there are more recent better quality resin Seagrave kits out there. Uptown Automotive was doing a couple more to the standard people today expect. Recently 3 inches under has started to sell a decent looking Seagrave on ebay that offers some different options than the Uptown kits. Based on your past connection to Uptown, I'm guessing you are looking at those. After much pestering I finally got one of each from him about 10 years ago, shortly before he stopped offering them. redneckrigger
I used to go to Toledo and the Maumee center for every show way back in the day. And I saw the Eisbrenner bodies and always wanted to buy one, but never dropped the coin. Truly cutting edge stuff in the day. There was also a rather poorly done knockoff by Rick Manz out of Arizona, I think, that was of a VERY brittle low quality resin available for a while. I built the White 3000 in my Avatar from a Manz resin, and it was a huge challenge, as it was thick THICK, and hard to work, but, as it was the only 3000 I could find, it worked, and it still survives over 30 years later. The builds all you fellows have done from those Seagrave casts are unbelievable!
