Pete68
I've seen a lot of guys make a day cab out of the Peterbilt 359 snap together so I thought I would give it a try and build one of my favorite Pete's

gatorincebu
Nice work on the cab conversion. And I like the tank swap ! Be Well Gator
SergeB
It seems that put too much soil. This is especially noticeable in the fuel tanks.Rinse well using a toothbrush and toothpaste. It should help.Otherwise, do not get a good paint.Good luck!
kilrathy10
Looking pretty good, Man....Looking pretty good....
Pete68
Sergey I know about the soil on the tanks frame is no where near done have a lot of work to do to it .I don't think a toothbrush and toothpaste will get it out I like the primer so I can see all the imperfections I need to take care of before final primer and paint. Thanks for the comment Kilrathy10 I was going to paint the cab and hood today but it rain the humidity is way too high
Pete68
Thought I would give a update. Worked on the frame and painted the cab and hood today the paint is Testors Dark red the light seems to give it a pinkish look for some reason. This is starting to be a fun built hope you enjoy. Dieselhead
to convert the cab, did you simply chop the sleeper off, or would I have to put a piece of styrene sheet in place of the back of the cab? I'm thinking about doing a daycab 359. Otherwise, build looks great. Excited for more.
Pete68
At the top of the thread you can see how I did it I sawed off the sleeper and put a piece of styrene in the back of the cab filled and sanded and modified the interior also thanks Edited November 12, 2016 by Pete68 Word check
Superpeterbilt
Nice work Lee. Its looks good with the split rim alcoas. Are you going to backdate the headlights also?
Pete68
Terry thanksyes I'm going to use the round headlights in the pic I didn't like the steel 5 hole wheels so I used the California hauler wheels and rear hubs
