misterNNL Posted July 27, 2016 Share Posted July 27, 2016 Many of the speedsters of the 1920's were a mashup of leftover pieces and parts from cars literally left along country roads were abandoned by their owners when they could not afford to repair them during the great depression.Local guys would tow them home and cherry pick the salvageable parts to build speedsters.That naturally lead to racing those cars with the winner often times determined by whose car ran the longest.
