welp, here's one you won't see on the show...

been working in Agassiz last few weeks, there's a notorious section of s-bends on a hill by Bridal Falls. been many, many accidents there, my teenage buddy of over 30 yrs ago hit standing water in his mustang there and hydo-planed over the edge and into the trees-barely survived. (there were no rails then)

should have clued in faster when one of Jamie Davis's flatdecks went by me the other way with 3 or 4 big truck axles on it...but no big truck...

seconds later this went by- barely got the pic...another JD flatdeck

come around the corner-yee-ha...

James has all his upper valley trucks rolling on this, both flatdecks, HR126, HR116, M.Mo, his dodge 1-ton....

the rail behind Mo got churned up pretty good....

was hoping to see them pull the trailer out, but my boss went by, seen me, busted....

1355_opt.thumb.jpg.041540d24d6cb3b7f39c4

this JD excavator barely squeezed by

Don't get it here unfortunately!!!!!!! Wish I did!!!

It must only be on the Canadian version of Discovery as we aren't getting it here in the states Dan. I am sure we will see it, just not today!

If you have Netflix, they have "Highway Thru Hell" and another similar Discovery Canada show called "Heavy Rescue: 401" there. The Weather Channel carried the show through season 4, but they have never carried it past that, the only way I got to see the 5th season was thanks to Netflix. I did just check, Netflix does not have any of the season 6 episodes yet, they may have to wait until the season ends to carry them.

I know that stretch of road well! I think that's one of the reason HTH is so appealing. I recognize where they film. That was especially true when they were still in Alberta.

As an aside, Jamie's new Ram wrecker is not a one ton. Based on the wheels, it will be either a Ram 4500 or 5500. :)

ya, same here....:D

image001_opt.thumb.jpg.ead4f3f0f41f93244

this crash that happened last week..the truck was heading westbound.... same direction as Jamie's wrecker

1334_opt_opt.thumb.jpg.f12bfeaffc28378cb

lost control on the s-curves and the trailer went threw the no-post (aka jersey rail) and ripped the axles off, slid a couple hundred feet down the rail, while spinning around at the same time till it sucked the tractor over...and freaking out some eastbound motorists....;)

this is where the trailer wheels got ripped off

1349_opt.thumb.jpg.b558415ac562c2343a697

as i was leaving my shop tonite, noticed Jamie's Peterbilt hooking on to the LightSpeed trailer from the wreck above. tried getting a pic as i was driving by, but it did'nt really happen. did notice the Freightliner flatdeck is back

1478_opt.thumb.jpg.66e1c3201fd2d66196ba81479_opt.thumb.jpg.220a3281cb4a117e951a6

so as i was turning around on a side road he went by me....i almost caught up to him and was going to get a good pic...then this guy rolled up on me and i had to do a quickie before he blocked me...not the best, but it's all i got

notice the trailer is backwards (check out the trailer writing) Jamie had a dirty dollie on the kingpin

1482_opt.thumb.jpg.214ed6d893685fc14fc4e

this wreck i snapped awhile ago, keep your eyes open. will most likely be the "star" truck in tomorrow nights HTH

605_opt_opt_(1).thumb.jpg.91d8dde7f80285

and it's a 45 Dan, but it only has a 5 ton boom on it. i thought he got it to replace his 450 super duty, but i have yet to see a single vehicle on the hook, but i still see his SD working...

i would always be suspect 'bout driving around with girl parts as a logo (?) anyways....lol

I'll happily drive girl parts over blue oval any day!!! lolz

There's an innuendo there somewhere.

My job is trucks (and vans and cars and SUVS) and I always wonder why people bother with the Ram 4500 or F450. For not much more, you can get the 5500 or F550 and get more payload capacity and towing, with not a lot more GVWR. The 4500 is kind of a weird stopgap I think. I ask my clients why they go with a 4500. The usual response is that they need more towing than a one tone, but the 5500 is too big. After an explanation, they almost always go "too big."

Anyway, I have my spot on the couch warmed up, and the fireplace glass is cleaned up, so I'm ready for tonight's episode. :)

you'd be surprised what a 1 ton can pull Dan. My dad has a Hitachi EX100 that comes in around 12 tons, his trailer is a Big Tex 25000lb 5th wheel that weighs a little over 3 ton. pulls it all over with his f350 4x4 powerstroke crew with no drama. i once pulled just over 22 thou of truck and trailer with my bigblock '85 K30 1 ton crew.

but i'm not really a fan of pentestar or f-ovals anyways, i'm more of a old bowtie and 'binder fan myself. simplistic beauty....can't be beat...

13619792_656525841161631_663622551527685

and this SD that went to his other co., Coastline

i imagine we should be seeing this sometime. it's a weird looker...

here's an "e"-ticket ride. apparentley the air line for the rear trailer got broke and locked the wheels up. CHP gave him an escort to the bottom of the hill just to clear the highway. Guy is a good driver (or has a big supply of underwear...lol) happened on I-80 in Calf.
