Hondo
This kit is an old Jo-Han Gene Snow Rambunctious Challenger funny car kit. I built it years ago as the Ramchargers funny car and recently "redid"" it. First funny car in the 6 second zone...........Leroy Goldstein, driver. Pro Tech
Hondo, great job on your F/C! I remember seeing the real car many, many times when I was a kid. Charlie Pro Tech
Hondo
Thanks everyone for the comments. Yep, Charlie.........Too bad the younger guys here couldn't enjoy drag racing "back then". It was a whole different deal. Imagine 64 (qualified) funny car fields ??? Man, those were the GOOD ol' days. Hondo
6bblbird
You did a very nice job on your Ramcharger car. Good detail on the parachute shroud and cable. I was very fortunate to have been at NY National the day that Leroy Goldstein ran that first 6 second run. I built my Challenger with the Rockville Centre Dodge livery that was on the car that weekend. Hope you don't mind if I post a pic. Fuel Coupe
I love these cars, What brand of Gold (?) are you guys using on the rims??? Edited May 4, 2008 by TxRat
Bainford
Your Ramchargers Challenger looks great. One of my all time favorites. Did you use Fred Cady decals on this?
Hondo
TxRat, I think it was Krylon Gold spray with flat over it on the rear wheels. The front is Testor's copper and aluminum brushed on. Bainford, Yes, those are the Fred Cady decals. Plus a few I added to make it the scheme you see here. Walter, The chute cord is from a fabric store. One dollar pack will last forever. Cool version there too. Thanks for the comments, Jim
