A Philosophical Conversation

We can't talk politics or religion, but there's nothing stopping a philosophy topic.

A couple of ideals that I try to carry with me thru my day-to-day...........

The glass being half-full or half-empty depends on whether you are filling that glass or emptying it out................

Freedom is just that, FREE! Yours shouldn't cost me anything, and mine shouldn't cost you...................

So share with us some mindset, I want inside your head!  :)

The less I know about some things, the better I'll be.

I've come to the conclusion, and this brutally honest and a bit cold.... on the road, people are gonna do stupid things, just don't do it in front me and ruin my day.

Lead, follow or get out the way.

I'd rather die on my feet, than live on my knees.

Never back down from what you know is right.

Money can't buy happinesd, but it sure points you in the right direction.

If you tell me you can't do something, I'll have to take you for your word. Then I'll go find someone who can!

You reminded me of one somewhat similar: "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're probably right."

This one's from General Patton. I've seen several variations in the exact wording, but the gist of it goes more less like: "Almost any reasonably good plan, executed right now, vigorously, is infinitely preferable to the perfect plan executed sometime next week."

in general , people are stupid , lazy and self centered , act accordingly.

You reminded me of one that's quite well known in law enforcement circles: "Be polite, be courteous, be professional. And have a plan to kill everybody you meet."

"You wanna make God laugh?  Tell him about your future plans".

Live today, and enjoy it.

Similarly:

"Life is what happens while you're making plans"--Some song I can't remember offhand.

"No plan survives first contact with the enemy."--I've seen it attributed to several famous generals.

"Everybody's got a plan till they get punched in the mouth." --Mike Tyson.
