Art Laski
A couple of years ago, I finished a Revell Willys I called Stephanie's Rose, a theme build inspired by my little sister. Well, I spotted this Hot Wheel of a 41 Willys a few weeks ago and it gave me an idea of making a miniature Stephanie's Rose. It would also give me an opportunity to try a different paint combination that was used on the original. The bigger model I used House of Kolor custom mixed pink pearl. On this one, I used Tamiya Pink spray can, topped with two coats of Tamiya Pearl White spray can, and Tamiya clear. This was just a quick little diversion, and fun project. Thanks for looking! Here's the original: Here's the Hot Wheel I started with: My finished version: Edited September 13, 2016 by Art Laski

Chuck Most
Weird... the original Stephanie's Rose came up in a conversation with another modeler last night. The mini version looks great.

Chuck Most
Yeah, cool coincidence. Hopefully the conversation was positive! Thanks for the compliment, Chuck. Somehow we got on the subject of cars that would look mean even painted pink. The Willys coupe was mentioned, and a link to the Under Glass posting was shared.
