75 Ford Granada

I've been looking for one of these for years. I finished this one in in primer grey with Testors wet look clear top coat to look like dove grey. The top, trim and interior are done with Restoleum caret wine. I also tinted the glass with Tamiya clear blue.

Thanks for looking.

That's a pretty good job Al, that kit isn't all that great as a starting point!

That was the IT car of 1976.  The color scheme was Mercedesque.  In 1976 I painted my 1966 Valiant silver to match it's red interior.

About 10 years later I had a 1977 Mercury Monarch 4 door Ghia in Dove Grey with a blue bucket interior.  It was unusual to have a sedan with buckets, console and floor shifter.

Very, very nice work!  some of those 1/32 Lindberg car kits of the 70s are great looking, really nice curbside kit series for the times.

Also reminds me of one of my great grand uncle who bought a brand new white/burgundy interior, 2dr coupe Granada back in 1975, also got the same kit back in 78 at local K-Mart!

Agreed.  These are cars that we have never seen in 1/25 scale and otherwise wouldn't have in any scale.   Note that within the series, scale actually varies, almost like Matchbox cars do.   Also, the interiors are pretty generic. But shelf wise, they're great especially when painted nicely and detailed out the way we see in Al's car.
