Ack! Ack-ack!
This is an Arii kit I built 10 or 15 years ago. The old Japanese instruction sheet gives no clue when the kit was released. To my knowledge it is still available. The only issue I dimly remember was a fit problem of the windscreen. Though a nice replica it is 1/24 scale, so among other models of American cars it looks rather big.

Geno
Thomas, it looks beautiful. I prefer 1/24 scale kits as they fit in with my 1/24 scale diecast collection. You done it justice. I commend you.

ZIL 111V
Excellent work! perfect color too Recall getting the convertible ARII kit back in 1994 (also boxed by IMEX).
StevenGuthmiller
Very nice job Thomas! I have both the hard top & convertible in my stash, (same kit with different tops) Started one many years ago, but never finished. Something always looked a little out of proportion with these kits to me, but every time I see one finished, they look good. Yours looks great! Although, I will say that the hard top looks a little too "bubble top". The rear glass seems to "round out" a little too much. Steve
John Goschke
Beautiful build; just about the nicest on I've seen from this kit!
MrObsessive
Very nice and clean! Not too many of those built show up these days. Very nice job Thomas! I have the hardtop version and have a very definite way to fix what you mentioned. BUT! The '58 Belvedere is what's calling my name the loudest as far as '50's cars to do next. I haven't done a Caddy in 10 years since I did that '61-------it's time to do another one, and this one (along with a corrected '58 Eldo Brougham) are in my gun-sights. MrObsessive
Bill, does it involve borrowing the roof from the AMT or Revell '58 Impala? Yup! Sure does! I know that they are different scales, and there was a difference between '58 GM B and C body hardtops, but the basic shape is there and that's all I need.
