lghtngyello03
Alright guys, I know Jameston is a busy guy and I get that. Just wondering if any of you ordered anything from him during the moving sale before August 26th? I ordered 2 boxes, 1 on August 22nd, and the 2nd box on August 24th. I got a tracking number for the first order on the day I placed my order. However the tracking number never updated to anything besides the label was created on the USPS website.I have emailed him several times, and the first email he said he was behind and he apologized. I understood, so I waited a couple of days and emailed back asking for an update. He didn't respond to this email, so I waited another couple of days and emailed again asking for an update. He stated he was sorry, and that on Saturday, Sept. 17th, he dropped off the package at the post office, and that I should see an update on the tracking on the following Monday. All week long, there was no update on the tracking, and I waited until Saturday and still haven't received any packages in the mail. I love his paint, and understand this is a side business. I hate to have to get PayPal involved, but it's been over a month, and I ordered this to paint some stuff for some upcoming shows. Anyone else had this problem, or ordered anything and actually got the package yet?
crazyjim
I had kinda the same deal with a tracking number but not shipped. Several emails later I got a refund. I don't need useless promises.

I don't need useless promises. Same here, If I haven't gotten a response by the end of the day today, I will contact PayPal and get my $48 back. Kind of sucks though, since I got 16 different colors for that price, and I had builds picked for all of them. I guess I'll go with Gravity or Zero paints. Any experience? GMCMAN52
wish I would have use Pay Pal but I followed what James wanted and that was a check and snail mail the paint request form to him. That was on Aug 14th. still no paint . Check was cashed last week so maybe I'll see my order sometime in Oct...I do like his paint but after this last order I don't think I'll ever order any again. I should have known better as my last three orders took over a month to reach my little hands.Same type of delays as mentioned above tracking number issued but took several weeks for the pick-up and bad reply's back form emails... lghtngyello03
My first order from him only took about a week to reach me...which was perfectly understandable. But a month on this one is excessive. I did get a response back from him today.. He stated he knew the other order shipped last Saturday, but doesn't know why I haven't got it yet or the tracking hasn't updated. He will be sending me my 2nd order with my first order in with it. I'll be going with gravity paint next probably. Anyone have any experience shooting any Gravity Colors?

Modlbldr
Glad I saw this. I was just looking into getting some paint from him. The sale sounded great. Guess I'll hold off.I also looked into Zero paints. Any experiences out there with shooting it??Later-
cmfowler
I ordered August 3rd received August 18th. I have had orders take longer. He tends to get swamped when he does these sales, as well as having to move and work a fulltime job where I understand he works plenty of overtime. crazyjim
I've used Gravity paints on a couple of builds. Very nice flow but also very expensive. I also used their clear one time. While it flowed and covered really good, it was even more expensive than colors. HOK paints from Coast Airbrush are more more reasonably priced. Quick GMC
I love the Scale Finishes base coats, especially the metallic paints. Sorry to hear about these issues, but having ordered about 4 times from him, this won't put me off. I own a small business. While it's definitely not good to keep your customers waiting, things happen This is Gravity, shoots super nice and smooth

Sport Suburban
I got my order that I placed on 8/14. It arrived on 9/22. I was not in a hurry as I already had about 15 bottles of his paint.

I was not in a hurry as I already had about 15 bottles of his paint. I have only ordered from him once and love his paint and clear. That's why I wanted to order again. Also his web sight has an update about falling behind and that he should be caught up by 10/1. His website has this on it on there due to me emailing him. This was not on there until yesterday evening. I know that this is his 2nd job...and I understand that. I also understand working lots of overtime. Used to average 78-82 hrs a week...so I get this. peter31a
I don't think he does but Elm City Hobbies in Canada carries the Scale Finishes paint and I believe he will ship overseas.

They are abit more money than Scale Finishes but the coverage is better so you use less, in the end it becomes a wash between the two.Zero paints are great...but I cant get them in Canada anymore unless I get them shipped to my sisters in the US and pick up from there. Shame really, love their stuff.I too bought a box from Scale Finishes moving sale and havent heard or seen anything about it yet. I knew it would take a while but over a month now since I ordered mine and not one word. I know Jameson works alot of hours but an email saying, "hey its gonna be abit" would be nice. As much as I love his paint, I think if I ever see this order that will be it. Gravity Colors are constantly expanding their colour range and I'll just wait for new colours or try HoK.David Edited September 27, 2016 by Jhedir6

Its expensive to ship because it has to go fedex hazardous, but if you have enough comming it evens out... same way I get my HOK from coastairbrush. om617
Yep, Scott will ship oversees https://www.elmcityhobbies.com/shop/index.phpDavidWould not be taking orders until november. The shipping was cheap,ground/sea but it would take 60 to 90 days so i`ll pass. Strange really, some sellers on Ebay have no problem ship paint, even rattlecans, bought Alclad on rattlecan there. I'm lucky, I live 30mins from the US border and my sister's place is just another 5mins over the border so I just order stuff and have it shipped to her place and pick it up when I go over for a visit. Save's alot of money in shipping costs. Just ordered the new Revell C7R on Tues, was at her place on Thurs and she delivered it today when her clan came over for an early Thanksgiving dinner.I've to maybe start ordering from hobbyworld-usa.
