Kit Basher
Does anyone have any info on these kits? Two by Hasegawa, supposedly soon to be available, one by Italeri. It appears they are all curbsides. Is one better than the other? Thanks!
Mike Chernecki
I have the Miura SV from Hasegawa, very nice kit. Here is a link that shows what is in the box, http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10034163
Kit Basher
Thanks for that link, Mike! It does look like a nice kit. As near as I can tell the Italeri kit has no chrome parts.
fumi
The Italeri one is a reissue of the old ESCI kit. Hasegawa's is miles ahead.
Kit Basher
Thanks, Silvester. I think I am going to get the Hasegawa kit when it becomes available.
LDO
The Hasegawa kit was originally issued about 10 years ago. Unless they made an all-new tool, you can find them online now.Read Alex Kustov's review/buildup here: http://italianhorses.net/gallery/hasegawa/hasmiura/miura.htm
Kit Basher
Thanks for that link, Lee. Really informative and excellent workmanship. Makes me want to build one even more!
89AKurt
The Italeri one is a reissue of the old ESCI kit. Hasegawa's is miles ahead.Good to know, since I got the special edition (green) kit recently.
Hard_2_Handle_454
The ESCI kit is a pretty good one. Just picked it up. Has a bit more detail. I go t the Hasewaga kit awhile back and it was ok too.
waynehulsey
The ESCI kit isn't bad except the rear panel shape looks like its too squared off to my eye. Its a early car with the 'eyebows' on the headlight and a few other trim differences approx. 1967. The Hasegawa looks a little better on body shape and detail but is a later car. So if you want to do the 50th Anniversary car will say the ESCI is way to go, if you just want a Miura the Hasegawa would be the better choice.
