buick1934
Hello everyone,I'm Michael from Perth, Western Australia. I've been a model builder since I was a teenager, building mostly military aircraft, armor & figures, but also the odd muscle car, hotrod and truck along the way. In my late 20's I spent less time building and more time collecting the kits that I wanted to build one day. Well, many years have now passed and along comes the realization that I will not get around to building all of those cataloged and stored kits, many of which are now going to new homes and I hope, workbenches. I've narrowed my model building to large scale (1/8, 1/12) road cars and race cars as I like super-detailing to the nth degree. Currently on the workbench are a Monogram 1/8 Jaguar XK-E Coupe, Pocher 1/8 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K-AK Cabriolet; and 1:8 Aston Martin DB5 007 version.Cheers ... disabled modeler
Welcome Michael...! I have been building all my life too but my normal scale has been 1/25th or 1/24rth....been wanting to try out some very large scale stuff just to see how much detail I can add to one just seems like fun. Dave Ambrose
Welcome. Sounds like you have a nice collection of kits. I don't know how it goes in Australia, but it seems that many of us have more kits than we'll ever build. I'm leaving mine to my kids and grandson.
