ZTony8
I'm trying to make sense of assembling the front suspension on these kits. The directions are no help.Where should the upper a-arms belocated on the chassis rails?I've tried attaching the lower arm/torsion bar and steering knuckle first and then trying to line everyhing up but the wheel still sits too far back in the wheel well. There are some bumps on the top rail that one would think could be locating points but they're not in the same spot on each rail so that doesn't work. Help, please.
Jantrix
A photo of the kit and a scan of the instruction images in question would be a big help.
Action Jackson
Here is the front suspension on the Cushman Duster I've been working on. Everything in the front is a real pain to get to fit.
Casey
http://www.banovsky.com/archive/chrysler-kit-carhttp://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/threads/the-chrysler-kit-car.24172/page-3 IIRC there were slight variations on the Kit Cars, based upon which body they were be used with, but looking at some real cars and pictures of the real parts should get you close. alan barton
Tony , I did a blow by blow explanation of how to fix all the problems on these chassis (the Petty Dart is the worst by far) on another modelling forum. PM me and I will tell you where to find it.Don't give up on this model - it is horribly awkward but looks fabulous when finished - it is worth the effort!
