Lunajammer
The dry brushing technique is simple enough and there are many threads showing results of dry brushing and descriptions of dry brushing. But what I'd like to see is a picture of the brushes you use for what effects. I'm striving for the effects shown here. I'm not completely satisfied with my past efforts and I'm not sure I'm using the right kind of brushes for the right application with the right mediums. Pics anyone? Darren B
These are the two that I use and I find that the stiffer the better. I use the straw type of cheap brushes from any craft store...
Lunajammer
That's perfect Darren, Thanks. The brush I'm using is like a trimmed down version of your top brush. Maybe I'm not so far off. Anyone else?(P.S. Darren, if you're in the Las Cruces, SENM area, I've got a lot of billboard designs hanging around there.)
426-Hemi
I don't normally "weather" cars and stuff, BUT things I make outside of this hobby I often "Dry Brush" I use a "feathering" or "Fading" brush..... Start where the color is semi-solid, and then pull the paint with it till it feathers out like drips and runs of say rust and such..... Lighter the brush stroke, lighter the weathering, and or "highlighting".....
