Truck-A-Thon 2017 'list is assembled'

Recommended Posts

ok fellas, let's get this going! "I" want to run this like a contest, but with no real prize at the end, just for fun, and maybe if you guys treat it like a contest it will keep you motivated to keep building.

so, having said that, the rules,

1. must have fun

2 monthly update

3 build whatever ya want, mild to wild, snappers included, clean, dirty, primer, shiny, who cares, make it fun so you want to keep building it.

I guess we can start January 1 and run untill December 31 of 2017, so if interested, sign up, and I will edit this to reflect who's in and what they are building. I will also see if i can get this 'pinned' so we can find it if this takes off.

I'll play, but will have to think about what with.

Is this going to be open to anything that falls under this section of the forum including pickups, vans etc or only large trucks?

Oh, I'll throw my hat in the ring (so to speak) with the AMT Chevrolet Bison.

Will we be posting out WIP photos here, or should we start individual threads in the "On the Workbench: Big Rigs" section with a title like "2017 TAT - 1978 Chevrolet Bison"?  Just a thought.

If I can start building a little later (I'll be out of town for the holidays), count me in! If all goes well I'll be building a Mack DM600 + possible rock bucket

Can i use my Freightliner FLC I have started on? I have the frame assembled. And at the pace I model probably won't finish it in year anyway. I can't start my wife's dump truck until I get this finished anyway.

Even though I didn't finish last years build off I sure had a good time being involved.

Count me in as well. I'll have to look through what I have here and decide what to built.

TAT sounds good to me.

I'd definitely like to be involved, I'd like to try making an international pro star into a Cat ct630. If I can get my hands on a prostar kit, and the money for it. I loved watching the BRBO builds, it was awesome to see so much creativity!
