Monty
I've been interested in upping my model interior game by using contrasting piping (small gauge wire) on the seat edges etc, and I was wondering how you guys were attaching the wire to painted seats. Ramfins59
I've used small drops of CA glue applied with a toothpick. The wire I've used is Detail Wire by Detail Master. If the CA glue leaves shiny spots when it dries I hit those spots with dullcoat using a brush.
BigTallDad
Rather than use wire, consider using plain old sewing thread.Soak it in some Elmer's White Glue (which dries clear) and put it in place. If you get any smears, they'll clean up with water or Wondex.
droogie
Ditto on the sewing thread. Much easier than trying to wrestle with the memory in wire. Lycra thread is another good choice. The elasticity allows some extra room for error.
randyc
Drill a hole if possible at the ends to anchor it. I used CA on one I did. Came out ok. But I'm a bit shaky at times, so it did have to be touched up.
