crazyrichard
By using a rack and pinion steering system you eliminated the need for a steering box, just saying! Great build, would make a great push truck for an LSR 29 roadster. Hit the salt. sorry i missed your reply yes i know , atm its more a connection to change the direction motion wise rather then a steering box .. sanded that box down to almost a flat thing .. maybe not 100% right and thnx yes could be cool to make it into a push vehicle ! i def. tried my best to keep away from the surf theme .. thats what most of these look like .. Randy D
Great looking progress Richard !!!!! You are right in thinking that the top could use something. That is a large area and would look good with some metal highlights. Randy

Randyyes indeed , i have to think about material though .. i still have not looked for some nice soldering equipment , i have a solder thing but thats on/of one temp with a big iron end ... i still have to look into what sort of soldering iron / thing i need and what kind of material and flux or no flux ...i can easely make it from styrene or plastics but i dont have thin rod material .. especially on a roof rack its important not to go to thin or too thick to get a convincing look .. but yes will be very cool to add and make real wood boards in them spaced ... ps i would have liked to do the roof in weathered paint .. but that wasnt realistic in the sense they never have painted roofs in the first place , could have looked cool though ...
