cpspoogie
Got a request from my old Navy buddy to recreate his first car. First pic is the original, second is my finished model right down to the HAT ROD license plate (his family are hatmakers in TX). Flared the fenders with Milliput. espo
Great recreation. I remember when a lot of guys put the extra set of tail lights on their Mustangs. Some would even put Cougar tail lights on. You really captured the flares just as your friend had done.
cpspoogie
Thanks all for the kind words. Im still learning and making lots of mistakes. This baby surely has its flaws and i shake very badly, as evidenced by the tail lights.
Maindrian Pace
I think it looks great, and it and the real car are very, very '70s. So much so, I'm surprised it didn't have Thrush side pipes.

geetee66
Yeah, your pal is going to love it!Nice build.By the way, if you get trouble with clear red straying onto adjacent chrome, a slightly blunted cocktail stick, dipped in acrylic thinner (used gently) will remove the red from the high points and leave a neat finish. But in truth, it's only macro photography that shows these things up. The eye will see it differently. So it'll still look awesome on your buddy's shelf.
