HomerS
i'm a die hard hockey fan so I know very little about basketball. My ten year old son plays in a recreational league. The team that they were playing today had a player get his fifth foul (so he should be out of the game). Not only did the home team have to point this out to the two refs, but between his fifth foul and the refs took him out, his team went down and scored a two point shot. At a minimum, shouldn't have the points come off the scoreboard?
vamach1
Refs are nor perfect but that is the scorers responsibility or whoever is doing the book. You can not take away points due to a rule be not enforced timely. You play and move on.
1930fordpickup
Rex is correct, just remember he is a 10 year old and is out there to learn the game as much as he is there to learn how to win. I wise coach once said you have to learn how to be on both sides of the game. Weather it be a bad call or the final score. Parents and fans also need to learn this , but we normally forget.
