Have any of you painted steel braided hose black to get the modern black hose look?I've compared two pics and they look identical except for the color and surface texture.I've read all of the recommendations for using braided products from Michael's etc. but I'm concerned about getting the AN fittings to work with those.Thanks for the help. I don't think anyone is making the braided hose in a black color, but maybe you could try light coats of smoke tint (Testors?) and see if that achieves the desired effect. astroracer Posted January 30, 2017 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Look for "dial cord" at your local electronics or radio/TV repair. I've used that stuff for many years. Pull out the inner thread and it is very flexible. The fishing line is great stuff also.
