AMT 1955 Chevy Nomad

Hit a snag with my '55 convertible, so I started working on this Nomad. This was a new kit and for some reason the crossover pipe for the exhaust was not included. This particular model had horrible flash on every single part, including the body. Cleaned it up as best I could. This is about the point most of my models start to go south, so I decided I better snap a photo. Chrome is a combination of BMF and Molotow Chrome pen.

Great looking body, clean trim and a good color combo. The Molotow pen that you and others have mentioned. I have looked everywhere and have not been able to find one. I have looked at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Office Depot, and a local arts store with no luck. Any additional places I should check ??

I love wagons and this looks like it's going to be very handsome, in that paint combo.

Maybe this new kit uses an old tooling? Flash can be annoying, but sometimes I find it therapeutic to remove. I get a sense of satisfaction from perfecting parts and cleaning them up. Yes, it's a perverse pleasure.

I keep saying I'll get one of these, but I'm strict about how many unbuilt kits I will have on my shelf.

Maybe this build will sway me!
