Experimented with rivets. Drilled out all the rivet marks on the engine cover and pushed .035 rod through, sanded them down, and painted the engine cover gloss aluminum. Next, I painted the cover with clear red to simulated anodizing. Finally, I carefully removed the paint above the rivet heads. A lot of work!

Fuel injection system was plumbed and ignition wires and boots installed.

Very cool build and idea...!  Where did you get the earlier small bumper nose from...I have a Gremlin I want to back date to the earlier small bumper ones like my uncle owned...?

One of the Jersey shore model car club members gave me a body and some parts so I don't know where the grill originated
