Snake45 Posted March 28, 2017 Share Posted March 28, 2017 The best & easiest way to tell, is that the paint should have zero smell to it.......... if you can still smell it, that means the solvents are not fully gassed out yet. .......... same goes for the clear; this will tell you when it's ready for the finishing. Mike999 Posted March 28, 2017 Share Posted March 28, 2017 I was just about to use a Micro-Mesh polishing kit. And in a very rare thing for me to do, I actually read the instructions. It recommended waiting at least a week for the paint to dry before using the polishing kit. The Smell Test described above is even better.
