"Bad Boys" Updated 7/5

Hi everyone. I just started these two. I'm trying to replicate two movie cars from one of my favorite movies, "Bad Boys".

I'm going to use Historic Racing Miniatures' Halibrand wheels and GT350 small block engine to add some detail to the Cobra and 18" Speedline Cup wheels from Scale Production for the 911 Turbo. Can't wait to see these finished side by side!

Hi everyone. Here's my progress so far..  I finally got all the paint and clear coats on the bodies done and also got started on the interior, chassis and engine for the Cobra. I hope this project starts moving faster now that I've got all the parts painted. Thanks for looking!

The kit decals for the Cobra weren't usable so I had to paint the racing stripes.

Love the movie....love what you are doing here. One thing, the movie car Cobra had Centerline type wheels on it, you can see it in the screenshot above.

Only brought that up because of your attention to the other details.

thanks for the comments. I really wanted to build the Cobra to the movie car specs but I couldn't find those specific after market wheels

The Centerline wheels you are looking for were real common in the 1980's kits. 70's Z28, Trans Am, etc.

You could throw it out there in "Wanted" section.....somebody here probably has a set or two.

Thanks for tip Ken! I wish I could have known this sooner, but I'll definitely try to get hold of a set of the Centerline wheels for my next Cobra as I've found this is really a beautiful car that deserves more than one build.

Hi all,

I finally finished putting the Cobra engine together. It's my first time trying engine wiring, but I think i'll do so every chance I get from now on.  HRM's engine really looks great completed. Thanks for looking in!

Wow,really excellent work. The paint work looks incredible on both cars.."Bad Boys" was an ok movie. It was the chases, and Ms.Leoni that made the move worth watching. She was a fox.?
