    • Site Upgrade   11/18/2017

The Forums will be down, Sunday, November 26th starting 9 AM PST for upgrade. We'll probably be down until 1PM PST, but it might be longer. I'm doing a major forum software upgrade, so I expect the forums to operate somewhat differently when we come back online.  Update: I've had a medical issue come up, and this window might not get used.
Update 2: I'm moving the upgrade to 9 AM Sunday.

Hey Vi!?!  I have to ask a question, are you using a

a 392 Hemi? Or some variant of that motor?

I have been trying to figure out why the motor is

wired backwards?  Or why the distributor is in the

back of the blower?  Just curious sir!!

Hi yes, the motor in the movie car from what I heard was race motor that belonged to one of the crew members, and is a GEN 1 Hemi, most likely a 392 or 331.  On those engines the distributor was in the back, I had an epiphany about this while looking for reference photos, its from a revell 41 Willys kit!

the movie car didn't have a hemi in it had a chevy hence the reverse wiring the car sitting in the garage was a mockup

Well that famous close up shot is a gen 1 hemi, and i think most of the stunt cars had mopar engines in them too. First gen hemis had the distributor in the back,
