John Goschke
I can't believe how nicely that thing cleaned up! Great workmanship on the rebuild.
Greg Pugh
I'm finding that in resto/refurb work, I'm often trying to honor the OB's vision, at least insofar as it doesn't completely disagree with my own. Drive on! Exactly! The original builder had some good ideas but lacked a little bit in execution. LolYou're a brave man, Greg! I'm sure you'll make it look killer.-ArtI sure hope so!Right you are Rich!! Ol' Greg's at it again!! Lmao!I can't believe how nicely that thing cleaned up! Great workmanship on the rebuild. Thank you so much!
Greg Pugh
Last night I got the sides all smoothed out. No more door handles, door locks, scripts, or fuel cap.
Greg Pugh
Then I started playing around with headlight treatments. I think I've settled on these units from a '59 Chevy. It will have a tube grille in between them.
Snake45
Wow, that headlight/grille combo looks great on this! Drive on!

Ron Hamilton
Greg,I have to tip my cap to you on this one for bringing it back to life. Only better. Great work so far.

mustang1989
Good headlight arrangement. This one's gonna be a lot of fun to follow along on. So much to learn from your builds. I promise............I don't have an old Ranchero in the stash to build this time.

Tom Geiger
No need to apologize for changing the color on this one... it had no color! The important part is that you are saving it.
Greg Pugh
I'm not changing the color. I'm painting it the color that the original builder had intended.
Greg Pugh
I'll be darned! There was a T-bird interior under all of that!
Greg Pugh
After cleaning up the interior, I got excited and I had every intention of using it. However, it just did not fit.
Greg Pugh
So I had already rounded up this guy because I needed glass and the tonneau cover. After looking at the supplied interior, it appears to already be tucked and rolled! Plus, it will require zero modification so the decision was easy for me! olschoolkid
Great job on this build! I think it will make a nice custom when it is done. I wish I would've thought of something similar when I built my Ranchero kit.
Lizz62
Man ,you are killing this one!! It's gonna be sweet.

DumpyDan
This is really coming together well, looks awesome so far
chepp
Here's another "vote" for the '59 Chevy headlights and tube grille — it really makes it look good as well as different. I think that the seats are the first ones that I've seen that have backs that are shorter than the cushions. Some headrests will help that out. Keep us posted. Greg Pugh
I had an idea so I picked up this kit... Because amongst a couple of other things, I needed this... So that I could do this...
Greg Pugh
This was the result. Check out the side view! The curvature of the T-bird hood to Ranchero hood couldn't have been any more perfect! I love it when a plan comes together!!
blunc
hmm...the 62 t-bird headlights and grille might have worked on this also...
mustang1989
Doncha just love it when you get "another idea" in the middle of a custom build like this and suddenly you look around and you've multiple kits wrapped up in a single build? LOL. I do know a thing or two about that feeling. lololol. Keep up the good work Greg.
John Goschke
Brilliant hood treatment! Are you going to leave the Klingon forehead thingy on the roof? Everything else is so clean now it's starting to look out of place. Though I could see preserving it as tribute to this nice build's really humble starting point!
