Should I thin decanted Testors clear enamel?

Recommended Posts

I don't thin decanted Testors spray colors and they have been fine.  The decanted Testors clear enamel looks thinner than the jarred Testors clear, but still thicker than other colors I have decanted.

I'm thinking it wouldn't require thinning just like the Testors spray colors.

Thanks,

Dave

When in doubt, I thin. I HATE having to detail-strip my airbrush and pick dried-up/too-thick paint out of it. I try to avoid that nasty chore at all costs, and lacquer thinner (which works fine with enamels) is cheap.

I would rather thin a touch to be certain as well.  Not just the brush clean up,  but lost time I  the project as well if you have an issue mid spray.
