What's up everyone this build going to be very interesting aha I am using a shadow box from Michaels to recreate Tamiya's "Part Panel" collections!

As title says, Tamiya's master piece Laferrari is going to be in the shadow box.

I usually never took pictures to show process but this time I will do my best to take pictures in between lol

Cheers,

waiting for cement to dry up to sand the seam lines

roughly sanded with 600 - 1000 to give primer some bite

There were some mold circle thing? so I filled them up with tamiya putty and sanded smooth

Got rid of the air flow channel seam lines with cement and putty

So since I don't have any tool that is thin enough to fit through the gap, I just use some super glue to attach Tamiya sand papers on bamboo stick and after wearing out, just take em off and reglue a new one!

I am not creative enough to think of any other way lol

Door panel seam lines are pain in the butt to get out...

So the front and rear bumper's arc didn't let the part face forward so I had to trim the part flat in order to face forward properly.

What's up yall, here are some update.

I applied White primer on the panels before I paint some red.

If you like popping red, use pink primer as a base. But white is good enough for me

Enjoy!

Ahh, a parts panel , now I understand what you are talking about,  interesting idea.

Once I started using Tamiya's Pink Primer for red, I cant go back to using white , nope, notta, cant do it.

Thanks! I can't wait to finish this thing

Hi, i cant for the life of me figure what shadow box means, can you explain?Thank you

You should look up shadow box! It's like a deep photo frame that you display collectible things inside or pictures!

I hope that made sense haha

What's up guys

I spent hours masking the panels for dual black color on the laferrari and the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH curve tape that I got from hobby store left sticky residue -__-

T_T

This is why I can't trust brands without two stars (Tamiya if you haven't got the joke)

But now I gotta start this process all over again with italian red...

Something that I noticed with Alclad paints is that they don't stick as well as tamiya laquer paint and the strength of the paint is very weak...

Stick to Tamiya lol

would've been a lot easier if the black part was separate for the back

You can kind of see the curve tape that left residue through tamiya masking tape :/
