C Cab Delivery

This is based on the recently reissued AMT 'Fruitwagon' Model T kit. I scratched together the back part of the body after chopping the C cutout just a tad to bring the proportions more in line. Built in a '60s show rod style with lots of chrome (some plated by ChromeTech). Decals by Slixx. Buildup pix here: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/c-cab-delivery/  Thanks for looking.... -RRR

I LOVE this ! I picked up 2 of these kits, with the idea of doing the same thing, but just haven't had time. One question; where did you get the poseable front axle ?....Steven Zimmerman

Z-Man: You're taxing the old brain muscles.... That front end is out of one of the old Revell T kits, the one where the lower front part of the cowl on the body has a cut out on the drivers side for the steering box mount. I'm sure it was originally issued as a (insert known name here) kit and then subsequently re-issued without the tie-in over the years. Maybe others here can help out with the ID of the kit? I have so much stuff in so many boxes that I forget where parts come from sometimes (function of age). The axle is not chromed out of the box. The headers are from the same kit, again not chromed, I had them plated by ChromeTech.
