U Body Steel Dump Trailer

This has been an ongoing project for sometime, it's finally back on the workbench. This style of trailer is manufactured by many different companies. Kruz calls it the "Terminator", Benson calls it the "Iron Man", Rhodes refers to it as the "Warrior" .... This is a shot of the Rhodes, my version won't be a direct copy but it will share many of the similarities and features of different brands

I will be using the tub from the Italeri dump trailer along with the chassis from an AMT Fruehauf Flat Bed re-issue. I've made 2 similar trailers before, both with a center point suspension and steel Budd wheels. This version will have air ride with 10 hole Alcoas. Here is the basic frame before primer and paint-

This is where things stand right now, I still have some more sanding to do then a nice bath followed by primer, paint and clear coat. The plan at the moment is to pair this off with my other WIP, the 357 Pete Daycab. Thanks for looking

Wow, you should write a  book/manual on how to build Dump Trailers! Each trailer you build gets better and better.
