bugman9317
I am just finishing up my second build in thirty years and would like to see if anyone has a suggestion for heater hose clips. I have seen some build that have clips that hold them to the body but don't know what they used.. Any help would be appreciated.
BigTallDad
Small strips of aluminum would probably work. Use scissors (but NOT your wife's sewing scissors) to cut strips from an aluminum beverage can.
Rocking Rodney Rat
Buy the thinnest solder you can find. Flatten it with the butt end of your X-Acto knife handle, wrap around hose...snip off excess... -RRR
bugman9317
Thanks guys I am going to try both of those.. With the aluminum can I will definitely make sure not to use her scissors. I already get yelled at for using them on dumb things that aren't metal...
oldnslow
A small piece of bar metal foil will suffice .
High octane
I would go with the thin strip of BMF as oldnslow suggested for heater and radiator hose clips.

Just for the sake of clarity...are you looking for clips that would secure the hose to, for example, a fender well or are you looking for clamps that secure the connection of the hose to the water pump etc.?I'm seeing suggestions for both. porschercr
TopStudio sells hose clamps as well.
bugman9317
I was looking for the clip to secure it to the fender well.
BigTallDad
With that in mind, sounds like the flattened solder or aluminum strips would be better. BMF, even if layered, would be too thin.
bugman9317
Thanks, I have my pop can to cut up tonight.. I did try the BMWF but you right it's way too thin.
gtx6970
Those cheap aluminum cake pans at the dollar store might work as well. It'll be a lighter gauge than a pop can

bugman9317
Thanks that's a great idea and I have a whole stack of those.. A little thicker than foil but less than a can..
