Randy Meyer
Grafted the AMT '60 Chevy windshield and hood to the new Revell '66 Suburban, making it a '60-'61. This conversion practically builds itself!
Mr Dedo
My stepfather had one of these trucks. The thing was indestructible and cleaned up real nice. Thanks for showing an old dog a new trick!
mikemodeler
That should be nice when finished. Are you going to build it stock or is it going to be a custom?
Randy Meyer
Are you going to build it stock or is it going to be a custom? Mild custom; lowered with whitewalls and chrome smoothies.

espo
I like your conversion and thank you for the idea. For myself I just never cared for the hood design. I think GM was trying to tie it to the '59 Impala of the time.

bill lanfear
love this idea!! Ive been waiting to get my hands on a 60 chevy kit, I missed the opportunity and regret it. I prefer the wrap around windshield and like the older hoods! If you need some reference pics, I have a 1:1 62 GMC truck . Brian Austin
What are you guys doing for the chassis and interior? I'm planning a couple of kitbashes involving the Revell Suburban and AMT '60 pickup kits, and am curious as to how you're approaching yours. The AMT chassis should be correct (for a a '60-'63 2x4), but the Revell floor doesn't really want to fit, particularly at the toeboard area. Door interior panels and dashes are very different as well from the two kits as well. So it seems the body backdating could be the easiest part of the conversion. :-)
