Johnt671
I started on this one. Other than the wheels and a resin B&M shifter and maybe plug wires it will be box stock. I'm working on the stance in the second picture. Edited August 14, 2017 by Johnt671
mod3l Lover
It is certainly sitting like it should, but I don't think the wheel are a great choice for a gasser. Just my humble opinion But no matter what, I think it's gonna look great John!! You don't see the 37 Chevy done too often as a gasser. David S. I have a set of AMT drag gasser wheels that look good. I'll post a picture tomorrow. Thanks for pointing that out. I had to do a little custom work to make them fit. geemoney
does this issue have the clear hood?
Johnt671
It has both clear hood and windows, plus amber tinted hood, windows and headlights.
Davewilly
If you fiddle with the front corner of the body where it meets the rear fender you can get that to fit down pretty nice. I really like this kit...I need to pick up this new release...besides I always liked the box art on this one Edited July 17, 2017 by Davewilly
Johnt671
Here's some pictures. Changed the wheels out Some work on the interior. I added the fire extinguisher, tach and seat belt. Edited July 23, 2017 by Johnt671

I have this release and the convertible just sitting here waiting for some inspiration just like this. David S. I sure will. Here's were I am. The chassis, interior and motor a almost done. I had to move the tach so the interior would fit, and there's a picture of the B&M shifter that came out nice. I tried to paint the body this morning before the rain, but in a rush I sprayed too heavy and have to do some sanding. It's not supposed to rain tomorrow morning so maybe I can get the body done. If not Sunday is the next nice day. Fingers crossed.

Johnt671
Today's work. Getting close to going under glass.
Johnt671
Today's work. I think it will be done tomorrow. It's suppose to rain all day so I should be able to get her done and then pick my next project' So of the decals that came with the kit ripped apart so I had to change plans a bit. I'm happy with the results. I think the ones I used make it look like a mid- buck race team ran it.
russosborne
Looks good. I just picked this kit up yesterday on a whim at HL on clearance. Not a big fan of the stock Chevy, but the gasser on the box just screamed buy me to me. I'm a sucker for 60's style drag cars. Planning on an OOB build, hoping it will work as a slump buster. Just came across this thread as I don't normally look in this section, but your thread was on the main page so I had to check it out. Good inspiration here. Thanks. Johnt671
It's done! It took longer than I thought to do the touch ups it needed. I got a dab of glue on the roof and I had to be careful not to mess up the paint. Here's a teaser picture. I'll post more in the Drag Race section. Thanks for looking. Del Austin
Turned out nice. Built one as a Street Rod, but have another one that is a planned Gasser.

Johnt671
Thanks. Roadrunner, this isn't a bad kit, and if I had a better selection of spare and resin parts it would have been a much nicer build. One of the biggest flaws was the blower scoops lack of detail.
