Recommended Detroit Diesel Green?

Recommended Posts

What would be a decently-accurate paint for Detroit blue-green? I'm planning on a Detroit or two soon and I want them in OEM colors. I'd prefer something not too expensive since I won't be building too many of these motors so I don't think it would be quite worth it. Rattlecan or airbrush is fine. Thanks.

I used Model Master USSR Fulcrum Gray/Green on this Detroit, pretty close to my eyes at least for older Detroits like a few Series 60s I had driven.

For Detroit Diesel Alpine Green from the 1970s I use Testors Model Masters Grun RLM 62, and for Series60 Blue I uses Tamiya Medium Blue XF-18.  I find that the Dupli-Color Detroit Diesel Alpine Green is too dark for the older engines; but that's just me.
