DrKerry
Guess I haven’t updated this lately!!!! truck is getting closer!!!! Worked on it this weekend and fuel tanks are on, air tanks are together and need sanding, cab mounts are on.... pulleys are on the engine... I did a trade awhile ago with Jeff and about a month ago or so he contacted me as I was looking for a logging headache rack. He asked me if he could whip one up for me!!! I told him sure as the one I was trying looked pretty rough!!!! Anyway, this is what he put together!! I told him it’s kind of kool that the truck came from him and now he has a hand in it coming together!!!! Well the pic is loading now!!! Stay tuned... https://www.flickr.com/gp/138189577@N04/jB4Y0L Edited December 18, 2017 by DrKerry
DRIPTROIT 71
I like the Mack camel back tandem conversion, especially since this is a log truck. I saw a KW W900 in Overdrive Magazine once that pulled a dump that had been converted to Mack axles. Great work!!
Warren D
Looks good so far. Just a question, is the photo a little off or does the front cab mount look lower than the rear mount?
DrKerry
Thanks Brian!!!!! The suspension was gone from the kit when I got it and knew it was gone, I knew I had the old Junkyard Dog Mack and that had decent parts so I parted that out the rest of the way to build this... Thank you Warren, The cab may be a bit off as it doesn't have the interior tub and glass in it to hold it up yet... Working on interior now so hoping to mount the cab in the next week or so!!!! That's fine, I was just trying to point out something you might not have noticed. I find I get so involved in the build that I just don't see the little things, until I take photos which are brutally realistic! I had the same thing when I rebuilt my old ACar tractor into a mixer. Yes it does Jeff!!!! Thanks again for building it up and it completes the circle!!!!! A rig that was once yours came to me and became a logger and now you’ve helped in putting the puzzle together by building the head ache rack!!!! Sitting here looking at it in front of me I like the way it’s coming together!!!!!! you should try one sometime, they are fun to build!!!!! If ya mess up on something ya can just say it’s a logger, it’s supposed to have that dent or scrape there!!!!!! Thanks again Jeff!!!!!
