Super28
I've been using flat white and a small brush for years. Whats a better way to do the lettering on tires?
StevenGuthmiller
Have yet to find a better way myself, other than to make sure to use acrylic paint rather than enamel. Steve
Xingu
If you use enamel, they better already be mounted and installed on the car. You will never be able to touch them again.

I have tires that I painted with enamel 30 years ago that still aren't dry! Steve
Steven Zimmerman
White Gel Pen works very well for me, wash n dry tire first. Seems fairly durable too
crazyjim
I use a Uni-Ball Signa UM-153 pen. I'm told Gelly Belly pens work too.

Brutalform
Brush some white paint on an old CD, and press the tire onto the paint, like a rubber stamp.
Smitty
I'm with you Tom. I use a piece of glass, then roll some flat acrylic paint onto it with a small foam roller. I drop the tire onto the paint, then gently press down on the tire. You can practice and keep trying to get the results you're happy with, just keep some water or isopropyl alcohol and a cloth handy to wipe the tire off. Then try again. I saw Jim's post above about the Uni-Ball pens and bought a 3 pack on Amazon. I tried the pen out on a tire and it looks great!!
High octane
Chief Joseph at Fireball Modelworks has some excellent lettering decals for tires, and I'm using them on my current build.
