'71 Charger interior

Hey, Fellows..... I'm in need of the interior from a '71 Charger that's NOT the Dirty Donny release. I have to paint it parchment and I'm having a Devil of a time trying to cover the orange it's molded in. If anyone has the front and rear seats and the door panels they can spare, that would be awesome! Don't need the dash, tho..........

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Wow...I was looking to get an AMT '71 for the chassis/suspension/engine and was going to sell the rest on Ebay, but the one available where I am is the orange Donny. Is the color really that hard to cover? Have you tried priming it? If that doesn't help then that would make two of us out of luck....

Hey, Friend...... If you can, avoid getting the orange molded one. There's more versions online, like at model roundup. I just couldn't afford the extra cash for a kit molded in gray versus the Dirty Donny version. Plus the DD one has a bunch of flash because the molds are worn.

If I could find an interior, I'd be set, because the rest I'll be painting bronze. I've already painted the chassis and it covered fine. Just need to make the seats and door panels white, and that Won't cover.........

You could use Krylon short cut's just use the black on the interior, let it gas out and then try the color you want the Interior. I used Krylon short cuts  Antique bronze on the Dirty Donnie's copy of the Charger with black interior.

You could shoot a mist coat of MM Metalizer then after it dries use whatever color primer or paint you like.

I don't have any metalizers, Michael, but I do have some DupliColor Chrome spray. Do you think that would seal in the oils or whatever is leeching thru?

I'll give it a try, anyways, thanks!

Any silver that's compatible with your other paint top coats should hide the orange TJ.

Send me a PM on the parts if the orange ones don't work out.
