JasonC
This is my first time trying a diorama like this. And fairly happy with it, did find out about static grass aftwards though. But may use it later if I do another. Anyways this model turned out this way cause the paint melted the plastic. I wasn't going to give up on it, so I tried my hand at weathering. For the weathering I used my fieancess makeup (She was like what do you need that for lol) and McCormick Pumpkin Spice, plus real engine grime. I did buy the tree, grass and fence ment for train layouts. I aged the fence and the leaves are bits of oregano, the cinder block was made by a local hobby shop. Simon
Brilliant rescue of a potentially fatal situation! Poor old thing. I really like how you did the foliage, and the weathering on the car. This kind of heap turns up on eBay in the UK these days, almost always advertised as a 'barn find'. Which usually means, 'I bought a hopeless basket case and now I've realised I need my money back. No warranty offered'.
Perspective Customs
If this were a 1:1 I'd say "how could you let you Beamer turn into such a rust bucket?" Since it's 1:24 I say "great job turning your Beamer into such a rust bucket!" Edited September 7, 2017 by Perspective Customs

espo
Beautifully aged. Realistic looking setting. Noticed the Oregon license plate. There are many places along their beautiful coast line were moss will grow overnight.

JasonC
The cinder block I got from a local hobby shop, don't know what he made them from. I actually bought a pack of them for a joke that my wheels was stolen on a diffent model lol
Tom Geiger
Very cool. I especially like that you took care of the details.. you added the mounts where the chrome strip is missing on the door. Your spare tire doesn't have lugs on it (amazing at how many do) and I like the broken windshield wiper and the detail where the headlight is missing. And I like the strategically placed leaves. If your grass has too much static where someone mowed around the car (another cool detail) try hairspray. I use that to keep flocking in place. I have seen them resin casted by many thru the years. I'm not 100% but I think the first issue of the '49 Ford was when I first remember seeing them. They have many uses.
