The Mystery Part I.D. Help Needed, Please, Topic

Recommended Posts

I'd go with the annual...I've got a couple of different reissues, and I don't think any of them have the "427" on the scoop because all of them have small-block engines.

I tend to agree with you because of the look of the paint and the decals. I THINK I have at least one reissue with the 427 still on it, but I could be wrong about that.

1 is a '64 or '65 Lincoln.

I think you are correct on 2

3 is possibly an AMT '70-'72 Chevelle but more likely same year Monte Carlo

4 is MPC '67 GTO

5 is JoHan '77-'79 Coupe DeVille

The black bucket seat looks like it's from one of the black issues of the MPC '79 Nova

How about a Goodyear x.75 x 15(?) Safety All Weather Tire? Any idea which kit this might have come from? One of the Ertl ariculture kits, maybe? I do have to Goodyear Implement tires from the Ertl John Deere plow kit, so maybe not.

Can anybody identify these wheels/wheel covers? Both are Chevrolet, and my guess is the first wheel (first two images) is from an MPC '73 Caprice based on the ugly brown plastic color. The second wheel appears to be a four-slot steel wheel with a poverty cap. Second wheel also has a metal axle mount stub on the backside.

Thanks, Mark. :)

How about these Uniroyal Fleetmaster Triple Tread tires? Solid vinyl, and they look like 1/32 scale tractor trailer tires:

AMT/Ertl used these Goodyear tires in the 1/32 Ford CL-9000 kit, so not from that kit, but maybe earlier kits?:

I've never seen those Uniroyal tires.  Notice the hacked-out center "web" in each tire.  I'd suspect those aren't AMT because of those.  If they were AMT, they'd probably have molded them without that, more like the Goodyears.

I've got a bunch of the Goodyear tires...they'd make passable 1/25 scale medium-duty tires from the looks of it...
