Olderisbetter
Whose going to be the first to build a copy of this. Beyond my abilities, but doable I think.http://www.rodauthority.com/features/car-features/shoe-this-a-blending-two-ford-decades-into-a-traditional-hot-rod/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=shoe-this-a-blending-two-ford-decades-into-a-traditional-hot-rod

Jon Cole
The front grill seems like it's having an identity crisis. Might look better if they just stuck with a reshaped '50 Ford nose. The early half of the blend is the body itself. The later half of the blend is what makes the deal. To that idea, I would use a chopped down windscreen from a '50 Ford. Overall, a great idea.
Little Timmy
With some fender's and a different color ( A deep pearl Blue? ) it could look better.
Draggon
Eeew. The builder said “I took two cars that were beyond repair and cut them up to make one good one.” I think he got that backwards.

ChrisBcritter
Frankly, I'd rather have the '73 Monte Carlo (skip the flame job, I'd build it stock). That whole "take the rear half of a later body, narrow it down and make a highboy" thing is a a fad I hope ends soon. I'd like it a lot better with some kind of original '20s-'30s roadster or coupe body.
Olderisbetter
I think it's so ugly, it's cute.
Ridge Rider
Not a fan. The only thing that remotely interests me is the headlights being tied to the firewall but even that doesn't quite fit this look. E for effort.
Jantrix
I've seen worse. I think the body is so smooth (no door lines) that it ends up looking cartoony, which I've never appreciated even in Roth's work. The headlights are way over the top. The blower is biggest eyesore to me. He could have done about anything else and been fine.

cobraman
Wasn't there a kit to turn a 90's Thunderbird into a 49 or 50 Ford ? I think it had a front and rear clip ???????????

Ace-Garageguy
...IMHO it's a flawed execution of what could be an interesting concept. There have been several cars built along similar lines, using later-model tails, narrowed, grafted to "traditional" rods, and some of them looked pretty damm good. This one's not too bad... This design by Sean Smith takes the basic concept farther... Edited October 25, 2017 by Ace-Garageguy

unclescott58
Okay, I do not always agree with most here on things like design. See my comments in the thread on the latest Mazda showcar others are ranting about. But, I do agree with most on the car that started this thread. That is ugly!
