PierreR89
Started building on this just because i felt i needed a break from trucks and trailers. After about 10hrs of building this is how far i have come. There are alot of parts in this kit.Even the driveshafts are split up into 3 parts, mainshaft and the yokes that go in to the transferboxes. The transferboxes is between 5-7 parts each.According to the manual i am about to start on step 6 to assemble drivetrain for the 2 middle axles and by the looks of that page that is about 5-6hours of work.. PierreR89
Done a little bit more. Most of the frame is complete, all of the steering linkage is in place, torsionbars for the suspension and mounts for the front supportlegs.Just missing some exhaustpipes but will mount them after the engines are painted. Both engine are done. vintagedragcrazy
Wow that thing looks like a beast can't wait to see it finished keep up the nice work!!!!Vince
PierreR89
Yeah it is a beast.I have just started to paint it today but for the next one i am going to use spraypaint for it because it is very hard to get the brush to reach every part of the frame because of all the crossmembers and drivetrain. But it worked and if it does not look good i can always call it for "battlescars", most of it is not going to show anyways when it is done. Also found out how much i dont like working with PE parts this small.. unfortunatley there are alot of those to in this kit.The next step is to mount the fenders and skidplates then the frame is completed and it is just the rest of the body to do.Already started on them so there will probably bee new pic,s sometime next week with them on the frame. The supportlegs are also complete but will mount them afre i have tires on it, the manual had 2 choises for them, travelmode or combatmode.I decided to have it in combatmode, just because almost every pic of this thing on the web has it in travelmode and not combatmode ready to launch. PierreR89
Got some paint on it at last, took longer then i thought it would do.Btw, the PE hinges for the rear platforms are not fun to do...

PierreR89
Found some motivation to work on this again. Instrumentpanel done, just need paint and decals. The instrumentpanel has so many parts that it took 2 hours to put it together.. Cab and enginecover are just on there because i wanted to see how it would look

PierreR89
Painted the instrumentpanel so one thing is done on this monster.. Skipped the decals for the gauges because they were slightly to large to fit where they should go Followed the instructions for a bit but mosty went for the look the one i have seen irl have. The instructions wanted everything except instrumentpanel to be darkgreen and the seats black. The one i have seen looks like this on the inside
vintagedragcrazy
Nice I hate when the decals are to big for the spot they go and usually do the same thing! vince
