Ack! Ack-ack!

International Paystar 5000 Cement Mixer

Recommended Posts

I built ths one probably 15 years ago. Like all Ertl truck and trailer kits I know building was a pleasure. Everyting is box-stock, only the rear fenders appeared way too long to my eyes.

Currently the kit seems to be OOP. My kit still had 11 standard tires. Later re-issues had two very wide front tires.

Very nicely done, and yup, the stock fenders are too long. Your rendition looks MUCH better!

Much better with the shortened rear fenders - otherwise the mixer would have needed a third axle in the back.

Super clean build Thomas.

Guys....what is the extremely extended front bumper for?

Geez, I rented an apartment that had a smaller balcony.

Guys....what is the extremely extended front bumper for?

Thats where the hydraulic pump is mounted. The hydraulic pump is driven by the crankshaft via a power take off (PTO), in this case it's known as an FEPTO, FE meaning "front engine".

You did good, Man....That looks really good....The fenders have always been crazy long, so I'm in agreement....Excellent modification of them......

That's a nice rig.  I agree; you did right by the rear fenders.  Makes it look like it should look.  Great colors too.
