59 Impala
Just for the fun of it, I'm going to try and fix this part. I think it's from a 59 Edsel, not sure. I used a piece of tape on the back side of the bumper and used fingernail resin to fill in the hole. I also am trying to clean up the grill part. I've removed the glue residue and will try and smooth it all out. Then, I'll probably use the Molotow chrome in an air brush to paint it again. Here are some pics of what I did tonight. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
1930fordpickup
Looks better. That filler sure gets hard to sand when you forget about it.

I have to do a little more work on the grill and repaint it. Thanks fer lookin. Dan

#1 model citizen
I have never heard of "fingernail resin". Is this something you'd find at a beauty counter?Nice job on the bumper/grille, BTW!
59 Impala
Yes John. I got it at Sally's Beauty Supply. It comes in pink and clear powder and the liquid is kinda purplish pink. The liquid does have a strong odor, so, you have to use it in a well ventilated area. It's a lot like dental resin. The stuff smells the same. And, thanks fer the kind comment. 59 Impala
Thanks guys. This was an experiment and I think it turned out pretty good and I am going to use the ink for more repairs in the future. I will still use BMF also. They both have their uses and compliment each other. Dan

59 Impala
Thanks Andy. While going thru my spare parts I found the rear bumper for the Edsel. I'm in the process of fixing it also. Not much to do, mostly srpaying it with the chrome ink. Dan
59 Impala
While going thru the parts box, I found this rear bumper for the 59 Edsel. I stripped the chrome and fixed the small blemishes and just sprayed the chrome a few minutes ago. Now, all I need is the car. Ha ha. Thanks fer lookin. 59 Impala
Thanks Eric. I'm glad that you can use this. I have bid on a 59 Edsel glue bomb on e-bay and now I'll just wait to see if I get it. If not, no biggy. Dan
