Dodge Driver
I've just polished my first model body with a multi-grit polishing kit. I will run out of the supplied polishing compound pretty quickly. What's recommended to use as a final step polishing compound?
Miatatom
I use the Novus products. They work for me. Others use Meguiars products.
MrObsessive
Meguiar's Car Cleaner Wax is my choice that I've used for years. Mild with just about any paint, and using this with a chamois cloth (I strongly recommend using that), I've been happy with it.
droogie
I like the Tamiya polishing compounds.
espo
I have been using the Tamiya compounds for several years and have always been satisfied. They offer three grades of polish. I'll sometimes use Novus #1 as a finel step and it helps to remove any of the polishing residue.
Don Sikora II
I like the Tamiya compounds too.
Snake45
Wright's Silver Cream, a silver polish available in the home cleaning aisle of Walmart. Works as well as any hobby polishing product and costs only a fraction as much. Been using it for 30 years.
jaymcminn
Meguiar"s Ultimate Compound followed by Ultimate Polish. Final wax with their #26 Yellow Wax. As a bonus, all these products work great on my 1:1!

This is the go-to polish for softer paints like Model Master enamels, other polishes can be too abrasive and will cut thru the paint.
